Be Grant Professional Certified
The GPC credential is a "generalist” designation, indicating that the credential holder meets the minimum standards required to successfully develop, prepare and manage grants. The only credential of its kind, designed specifically to measure proficiency in the grantsmanship field, it takes into account a combination of education and experience, contributions to the grantsmanship field, and service to the community.
Applying to Take the GPC Exam
In order to take the GPC Exam, you will need to apply to the Grant Professionals Certification Institute (GPCI), an affiliate of the Grant Professionals Association. The application occurs in three stages: 1) initial registration; 2) qualification; and 3) exam scheduling and payment of fees.
You can begin your preparation for the exam by reviewing the Competencies Tested, reviewing Eligibility Requirements, and preparing your Eligibility Packet.
Please Note: the Grant Professionals Certification Institute (GPCI) is currently migrating the GPC exam to a new computerized format that can be taken at locations across the U.S. Because of this transition, we will not be able to offer a GPC exam following the 2012 GPA MidAtlantic Grants Conference.
If you are interested in taking the GPC exam, please see the GPCI site for more information.
